Dragon Boating has long been a tradition of Hong Kong and the bgc Stormy Dragons aspires to the challenges of the sport. Formed in only 2006 the ‘Stormy’s’, set up by experienced paddlers, is a club keen to push themselves and their teammates to achieve the best of themselves. The Club has had remarkable success since it’s inception, becoming one of the leading Women’s teams in Hong Kong - the first team ever to be undefeated in Hong Kong. The Men's and Mixed team are growing in strenght and experiance and are becoming a well known feature on the waters of Hong Kong.

But don’t think that this isn’t a club for you if you haven’t had any paddling experience before, it’s success lies in welcoming all, from all backgrounds and nationalities and with all skill levels, from the humble beginner upwards. Everyone has something to bring to the table and with the team’s support all will become better paddlers with the benefit of team coaching in technique and stamina, and it’s a great way to get fit at the same time!

Is there a point to all this you might ask, well as mentioned the Women have had tremendous success as we look to compete in both National and International competitions with our current international circuit destination being Boracay, enjoyed and loved by all the crew who head out there......

And there’s more – Not only are the Stormy Dragons one of the hottest dragon boating teams in town, they party the hardest too! Hong Kong is a land of work hard, play hard and the Stormy’s follow the same ethos. As much as we strive to bring back the silver we aim to make sure we have a great time doing it, giving all a chance to get to know others and form new friendships as we aim for a common goal.
